The short version

SanityMode runs 100% locally in your browser. We don't collect, store, transmit, or sell any of your data. There is no analytics, no tracking, no account, and no server that sees what you browse.

What the extension accesses

To hide doom headlines, outrage threads, clickbait, and ads, the extension reads the text content of the web pages you visit. This happens entirely on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.

What we store

Your filter preferences (which categories are on, custom keywords) are stored locally in your browser using the standard extension storage API. They never leave your device.

Third parties

None. No third-party scripts, no SDKs, no trackers.
