Gambling & betting
Hide gambling, betting and trading-as-gambling content
SanityMode hides betting ads, gambling promos and 'trading is gambling' content across your feeds — useful for anyone in recovery or just trying to stop seeing it everywhere.
The pattern
- Every sports article has three betting ads next to it.
- Reddit pushes you sportsbook promos you never asked for.
- You're trying to stay away from it and the feed keeps bringing it back.
What SanityMode does
Sportsbook promos hidden
Sponsored posts and ads from major sportsbooks get hidden inline. The article you came for stays.
Gambling subreddits & accounts filtered
Recommendations and 'you might like' suggestions from betting-focused communities are removed.
Meme-stock posts muted
Pump-and-dump style posts on r/wallstreetbets-adjacent feeds get filtered alongside traditional gambling content.
FAQ
- Will it block sports news?
- No. Game results, schedules and team coverage come through. Only the betting layer around them is filtered.
- Is there a helpline link?
- Yes. When the filter is on, a small footer links to the National Council on Problem Gambling and equivalents in other regions.
- Can someone else see I've enabled this?
- No. Filters stay on your machine. Nothing is synced or shared.
